Sarah's diary

“ What on Earth am I doing this for? ”- This is the first thing I have thought while getting to the airport. I was really excited, I felt like a child on his first school day. It was a new experience for me and, due to my anxiety, I was up to tell my mum “please, take me home”. Luckily, I said nothing and quickly, after having said goodbye, I got on board. The flight lasted few hours and in the middle of the afternoon I arrived to Barcelona. There I found a really nice family who was waiting for me and, as soon as they saw me, they ran towards me for a hug. Firstly I was dazed but then, when they started talking to know something about me, I felt really involved and well-liked. They showed me the house and the first thing I’ve noticed was a poster on the chimney - “Welcome to Sarah Ricci”. On that moment I realised that I would feel like home and so it was. I think I will never forget the way I felt that week, it’ ll remain etched in my heart. I’ve known a lot of people and each of them have given something to me. I can’t explain the satisfaction, the pleasure, the excitement and the happiness I was covered in and I can say that the friendships we have created were true. All the guys made me better and I will be grateful forever. I didn’t know how to say goodbye, I was in tears and the family too. The guys have cried for days and we couldn’t separate from each other. At the airport we were compelled to say goodbye and I felt really lost, I felt like I was saying goodbye to a part of me, like it was the last time we would meet. It has been the best week of my life and I promise I will come back to my little large family.

Diary
I want to thank all Lithuanian teachers and students who made me enjoy this beautiful experience.
I thank especially my hosting friend and her family for the warming welcome and for the help when I needed it.
I really liked Lithuania places, people and their organization.
The school is like the one everyone would!
They were always on time, no delays. The building is very big and you have the possibility of choosing lots of lessons that I haven’t in my school. For example the theatre.
I really enjoyed the school presentation where students showed their abilities of dancing, singing and acting.
My favorite day has been on Thursday when we’ve been to Trakay to visit the duke ‘s castle.
It was incredible. There was so much snow and we weren’t used to have it. I had a very good time with guys.
They were all nice and I liked them so much.
Thanks of all.
Poka!!

  MY DIARY

I want to Thank teachers and students from lithuania for the wonderful week and all the activities, they organised for all of us.
But in particular I would like to thank the girl Who hosted me: Dominika.
This experience offered me the opportunity to get in Touch with another school system. I think that it is very important for students to know many different ways to have lessons, because only in this way we could evaluate the best one.
For me It Has been a very positive experience for a lot of reasons, and i also learnt some lithuanian words.
And i can say that the school is really well-organized.
I enjoyed taking part in different lessons, and in different excursions. For me the best one was in Trakai, because of the freezing lake around the ancient castle, and because after the excursion i loved making Pasta and eating it.
And i would like to thank the students, because although they were tired, every day they organised for us something to do after the “school day, for example to skate or to go to the Sky park.
The erasmus project, it is both the way to compare different teachers’ s lessons, and also the way to have many friendly relationships with people who come from different countries.
And in this moment I am very happy for the experience but at the same time I miss all of them, especially dominika. I hope that one day I’ll come back to the fantastic Vilnius...so I hope to see you soon.
Viso gero.
